Your party is on the way! Most orders placed by 3pm EST, Monday–Friday, will usually ship the same day; excluding holidays. Orders placed after 3pm EST, Monday–Friday, will ship the following business day. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will ship on the next business day.

Please note: If your order includes an item that is particularly large, or if you have ordered in large quantities, our shipping calculator may not accurately give you the total shipping cost for your order. In most cases, this will not be a problem, but in the case of a large discrepancy, you will be notified of the difference and your order may be held pending your reply.

When should I expect to receive my merchandise?

  • Standard orders, excluding any custom or personalized merchandise, will ship from our warehouse located in Illinois.

What shipping options are available?

  • Standard Shipping:

    • Deliveries are made in 2 to 6 business days.
    • Packages weighing 10 pounds or less are delivered to your door by the USPS.
    • Packages weighing more than 10 pounds will be delivered by UPS.
    • Rural and remote areas may incur longer delivery times.

    NEED IT FASTER?

    • 3 Day Select - Arrives 3 business days after the day it ships out.
    • 2nd Day Air - Arrives 2 business days after the day it ships out.
    • Next Day Air - Arrives on the next business day after the day it ships out.
    • Saturday Delivery Next Day Air - Arrives on Saturday. Not available in all locations.

    Orders shipping to Alaska & Hawaii will incur one additional business day for delivery - for example Next Day Air will take 2 business days for delivery.

    Please Note: deliveries can occur as late as 8pm local time for the delivery location.

How do I determine when I will receive my order?

  • Estimating your delivery time is easy! Shipping times start the first business day after the order is shipped from our warehouse. Business days exclude weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and holidays.

    For example: if the delivery option you choose at checkout is 3 Day Select and your order ships on a Wednesday, then the first shipping day you would count is Thursday and your package would be estimated for delivery on the following Monday.

What could prevent my order from shipping today?

  • You will receive an email from Customer Support if:

    • The billing address provided does not match what the credit card has on file.
    • The shipping address provided cannot be confirmed.
    • The shipping address provided is a PO Box and you have selected an expedited shipping method.

    Additional factors could be:

    • The order was placed after 3pm EST on a weekday (Monday - Friday).
    • The order was placed on a weekend (Saturday - Sunday).
    • The order is a bulk order that requires additional processing time for shipment.
    • Custom or personalized Items which require additional processing time (they will ship separately from any standard merchandise ordered).

I am ordering a custom banner or invitations. When should I expect to receive my merchandise?

  • Customized items are not returnable or exchangeable.

    Expedited shipping options are available in checkout. Expedited shipping will not speed up your custom item's processing time.

I am ordering personalized favors. When should I expect to receive my merchandise?

  • Orders for personalized favors require up to 7 business days of processing time. Processing time is the period from when the order is placed to when it leaves our warehouse in Georgia. We would encourage you to account for this estimated lead time when planning your delivery options.

    Please be sure to order additional glassware pieces to cover any breakages or extra guests as we will be unable to replace any glasses broken in transit.

    Personalized items are not returnable or exchangeable.

  • Orders for personalized tableware require up to 5 business days of processing time. Processing time is the period from when the order is placed to when it leaves our warehouse in Texas. We would encourage you to account for this estimated lead time when planning your delivery options.

    Please be sure to order additional glassware pieces to cover any breakages or extra guests as we will be unable to replace any glasses broken in transit.

My Order Confirmation says I have Dropship items, what does this mean?

  • Dropship merchandise are items that ship directly from the manufacturer.

    This merchandise will arrive separately from other items on your order and depending on your location may take 3 additional business days for delivery.

Do you ship to PO Boxes or Military Addresses?

  • Yes, we do! Please review the information below for any restrictions or limitations that may apply to your order.

    If a PO Box address is provided for shipping, the package may ship via USPS Parcel Select depending on the weight, size, or shipping destination.

    Orders shipping to a PO Box cannot ship via any express method.

    Hazardous items (such as helium tanks, color spray and chaffing fuel), perishable items (such as chocolate) & personalized favors cannot be shipped to a PO Box or Military address.

    APO/FPO/DPO deliveries are made via USPS and delivery times for these addresses are dependent upon location.

    Please check the product page for your items to ensure your item can be shipped to your PO Box or military address.

Do you ship outside the 50 United States?

  • At this time PartyCity.com can only ship to the 50 United States and the District of Columbia. We are unable to ship orders to any US Territories such as Puerto Rico, Guam, or the Virgin Islands. PartyCity.com does not currently ship to any international locations. We cannot ship to Hawaii if a product is restricted to ground shipping only. Please check the product page of your item to ensure it can be shipped to your location.

Are there any restrictions or limitations on shipping to a Freight Forwarder?

  • Party City is not responsible for lost, missing, or damaged merchandise shipped to customers via a freight forwarding company.
