Return Policy

  • We gladly accept returns and exchanges within a 30-day period for online, in-store, and In-Store Pickup transactions accompanied by a store receipt or order confirmation email. Merchandise must be in new condition, unopened, unworn, and in original packaging. All returns will be credited to the original form of payment, and all returnable products, including Online Only products, will be refunded for the full purchase price.

    Non-returnable items include:

    • Helium tanks
    • Custom & personalized items (US only)
    • Partial Party Kits – Party Kit components may not be returned individually

    Note that seasonal merchandise (e.g. Christmas, Easter, and Halloween items, including costumes) may be returned up to 7 days prior to the holiday, in original condition, and with a store receipt or order confirmation email. If a return is made within that 7-day period, you will be refunded in store credit*.

    *Store credit is valid for in-store transactions only

Halloween Return Policy

  • As stated above, no returns will be accepted for online, in-store, or In-Store Pickup orders within the 7-day period leading up to Halloween. Only exchanges will still be accepted, given that items are unopened, unworn, in original packaging, and are accompanied by a store receipt or order confirmation email. For online orders, the 30-day return period begins the day your items are delivered.

  • Returning in Store

    If all requirements above are met, you may return your online, in-store, or In-Store Pickup purchase to any Party City store location. Please visit our store locator or call 1-800-477-4841 to find a location near you.

    Returning by Mail

    Begin the return process by visiting our Returns Portal and filling in your order number and billing zip code. Then, you will be prompted to follow a few simple steps to complete your return.

    You can also reach the Returns Portal by viewing your Order History when logged into your Party City account and selecting the Return Order button.

      In-store Pickup orders can be returned to any Party City location accompanied by your order confirmation email.
    • How do I return something I've preordered?

      Preorders cannot be returned until your item(s) have been delivered to your door. Then, you may return your order in store or by mail as defined above.

    • Where can I see that my return has been processed?

      Once we receive your return, the refund should be reflected in your bank statement within 2-5 business days*.
