Paper plates are made of heavy stock, strong enough to hold large portions without folding; plastic plates are even bigger, stronger, and impervious to moisture so that they can be refilled time and again during the course of the picnic, dinner, or buffet. For picnics in particular, divided plastic plates are ideal keeping the peas separate from the mashed potatoes, bread, and main dish; their compartments offer a kind of buttressing, making them especially sturdy. We offer square paper plates as well, in dinner and dessert sizes, for the square meal that follows your rounds at the party. All colors match — that is, all shapes and sizes of paper and plastic orange plates match all other orange plates.
