Idea 1: Anyone can put together awesome balloon arches!

These DIY balloon rainbows intantly turn your pool or patio into a fun zone! Here's how we did it: Just inflate colorful latex balloons with helium, attach to balloon decorating strips, and secure them with a few balloon weights. Finish your look by adding grass garlands to the tables and filling the pool with colorful inflatable toys. You can do this idea on a smaller scale or go all out!

Idea 2: They'll go wild for your DIY balloon palm trees!

It’s amazing how simple and fun it is to create balloon palm tree columns that’ll lu-wow your guests. Start by inflating three orange balloons with air (no helium needed) and tying their ends together. Tie another trio of balloons and stack them on top, then tie both layers together with ribbon. Continue until you have a full trunk. Inflate smaller balloons as coconuts and tie to your top layer. Inflate and bend twisty green balloons, then tie together to create palm fronds. Create multiple columns to turn your yard into a breezy tropical forest!

Idea 3: Exotic and easy: dangle paper lanterns on a flower garland

If you're looking for a fast decorating idea, this one is a cinch – and has a big impact! Just string up a lei garland and dangle paper lanterns of different sizes and colors on it. To go all out, add lights and balloon topiaries. Paper lanterns are available in different designs and color schemes, so have a ball with it and let the lanterns inspire your whole party look!

Idea 4: How to turn paper lanterns into amazing floating jellyfish!

Our fave DIY project yet! Use curling ribbon, iridescent ribbon, streamers and strips of plastic tablecover to create the tentacles! All you do is pinch and pull the plastic with your fingertips to get the ruffled look. Hang them on clear fishing line to create a magical underwater world!

Idea 5: Get your summer on!

Get your summer on! Time to chillax with friends and family, soak up the sun and goof off in the pool. Create a colorful backyard oasis with breezy balloon palm trees, cool blue tablescape ideas and tropical wearables like beachy hats and leis to get everyone chatting and having a blast. Pina coladas, anyone?

Idea 6: Add a twinkling touch of island magic!

String up glowing summer-themed lights to instantly brighten up your beach-themed bash! Choose indoor/outdoor lights and hang them on the tiki bar, in the windows or on a gate. When the sun goes down the party will still be sizzling hot!

Idea 7: Spoil your sweeties with summery leis and hair clips!

Kids really get a kick out of dressing up, so go all out. Have plenty of pint-sized leis and hair clips for them to play with. Tell them to get creative with the leis – they work as bracelets and belts too. Great for Twitterific pics, and after the party everyone can sail home with their favorites.

Idea 8: Set up a tiki bar photo booth with luau props and wearables!

A tiki bar hut with a thatched roof is a sweet setting for party pics and a great place to cool off with tropical drinks in the shade! Have a few straw hats, fun sunglasses and colorful Hawaiian leis, and tell them to say aloha for the camera. Your tropical "staycation" party pics are bound to get likes!

Idea 9: Beach bums will love this island-inspired tablescape!

Bring some island ambience to your poolside party with a tiki-tastic table! Surround floral-printed luau plates, cups and napkins with coconuts and tropical drinks (with little umbrellas, of course). A few simple touches create a designer look: try layering your plates and wrapping plastic utensils in matching napkins for a cool cutlery packet to place on top. You go, Bahama Mama!
