Scary Ghosts White Candy Covered Strawberries How To

Be a fantastic ghostess with candy-covered strawberries!

Something has scared these strawberry spirits! With mouths wide open and leaves standing on end, they're sure to bring smiles to your Halloween crowd. Dip and decorate them in minutes with White Candy Melts® candy and display on a spooky tray.



  • Fresh strawberries, washed and dried completely
  • White Candy Melts® candy (12 oz. makes 14 to 16 treats)
  • Black Candy Melts candy (1/2 oz. makes 14 to 16 treats)


  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Waxed or parchment paper
  • Cookie sheet
  • 12 in. Disposable Decorating Bags
  • Food-safe scissors
  • Candy Eyeballs

1) Dip strawberries

Melt white Candy Melts candy in microwave-safe bowl according to package directions. Dip strawberries in melted white candy and place on waxed paper-covered cookie sheet, leaving about 2 in. to 3 in. between each strawberry to allow for making bodies. Transfer remaining melted white candy to disposable decorating bag. Use scissors to cut small point off of bag.

2) Make ghost bodies

Use melted white candy to pipe bodies in various sizes and shapes. Chill until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes.

3) Add facial features

Melt black Candy Melts candy in disposable decorating bag according to package directions. Cut small point off of bag. Use melted black candy to decorate mouth. Use melted white candy to attach candy eyeballs. Chill until firm, about 3 to 5 minutes.
