Monster High Skullette Cake How To

Yum-to-the-bone cake!

The skullette has killer-cute style, so it makes a specter-tacular cake. The Monster High Cake How-To has the step-by-step on decorating it with your own claws, no professional baker required. How-To

Ingredients:

  • Favorite cake recipe or mix (4 3/4 cups of batter needed)
  • White Ready-To-Use Decorator Icing — 4.5 lb. Tub
  • Rose Icing Color
  • Favorite chocolate buttercream icing
  • Black Icing Color
  • Cornstarch

Supplies:

  • Monster High™ Cake Pan
  • Cooling Grid
  • 9 in. Angled Spatula
  • Food-safe scissors
  • 12 in. Disposable Decorating Bags
  • Round & Star Decorating Tip Set (two sets needed)

1) Make cake and icing and decorate cake

Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool cake according to pan package directions. Position cake on serving tray. Tint a portion of white icing with rose icing color. Reserve remaining white icing. Tint chocolate buttercream icing black. Use spatula and black icing to ice sides of cake smooth. Use tip #3, a cut disposable decorating bag and white icing to outline face.

2) Add black outline and fill in

Use tip #3, a cut disposable decorating bag and black icing to outline eyes, nose and bow, and to fill in eyes and nose. Pat smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch.

3) Decorate with stars

Use tip #16, a cut disposable decorating bag and white icing to pipe in stars to cover face. Use tip #16, a cut disposable decorating bag and rose icing to pipe in stars to cover bow.

4) Serve

Surround cake with blue candies, as shown, if desired. All your favorite monster friends will love this cake!
