Spy on crispy rice treats!

Yar, eat these spyglasses! Between the ice cream cone stuffed with crisped rice and a Candy Melts® chocolate cap, there will be very little spying and a lot of munching. Spot the Jake's Spyglass Crispy Cones How-To for the creation treasure map, then serve the glasses on a sea of Sixlets®. Mmm, a matey could spy on these more often!

How-To

Ingredients:

  • Favorite crisped rice cereal treats mixture
  • Cake ice cream cones
  • Yellow Candy Melts® Candy (12 oz. makes 6 treats)
  • Light Cocoa Candy Melts Candy (12 oz. makes 6 treats)
  • Yellow Chocolate Drops

Supplies:

  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Parchment or waxed paper
  • Cookie sheet
  • 12 in. Disposable Decorating Bags
  • Food-safe scissors

1) Fill cones

Prepare cereal treats mixture following recipe directions. Gently pack mixture into ice cream cones, filling to top.

2) Dip cones

Melt yellow Candy Melts candy in microwave-safe bowl according to package directions. Dip wide end of cone in melted yellow candy to the bottom of the wide cup area. Gently tap cone against side of container to smooth and remove excess candy. Place cone on parchment paper-covered cookie sheet. Chill until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes. Reserve remaining melted candy.

3) Decorate cones

Melt light cocoa Candy Melts candy in disposable decorating bag according to package directions. Cut small point off of decorating bag. Use melted light cocoa candy to pipe lines on cone. Chill until firm, about 3 to 5 minutes.

4) Attach candy trims

Transfer remaining melted yellow Candy Melts candy to disposable decorating bag. Cut small point off of decorating bag. Use melted yellow candy to attach candy-coated chocolates to rim of cone. Chill until firm, about 3 to 5 minutes.
