1) Make cake and decorate bow
Prepare batter following recipe directions. Pour 5 cups batter into pan. Bake cake and cool on cooling grid.Tint portions of white icing red, black and yellow. Reserve remaining white icing. Use tip 8, a cut disposable decorating bag and red icing to pipe in loop areas of bow. Pat smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch. Use tip #5, a cut disposable decorating bag and black icing to outline inside and outside loops and knot. Use tip #16, a cut disposable decorating bag and red icing to fill in loops and knot with stars.
