Frozen Dipped Pretzels How To

Wave (and eat) pretzel icicle wands!

Hand out a sweet favor at the end of your birthday party. Dip pretzel rods in Candy Melts® Candy and sprinkle in white sparkling sugar. For a wintry display, use a large clear container and fill it to the brim with white jelly beans.

How-To

Ingredients:

  • Blue Candy Melts® Candy (12 oz. makes 12 to 15 treats)
  • Pretzel rods
  • White Candy Melts® Candy (12 oz. makes 12 to 15 treats)
  • Sparkling White Sprinkles

Supplies:

  • Microwave-safe container
  • Parchment or waxed paper
  • Cookie sheet
  • 12 in. Disposable Decorating Bags
  • Food-safe scissors

1) Dip pretzel rods

Melt blue Candy Melts candy in a microwave-safe container according to package directions. Dip pretzel rods 3/4 of the way. Tap pretzel rods gently on side of bowl to smooth and remove excess candy. Place pretzel rods on parchment paper-covered cookie sheet. Chill until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes.

2) Pipe candy snow

Melt white Candy Melts candy in disposable decorating bag according to package directions. Cut small point off of tip of disposable decorating bag. Use melted white candy to pipe snow approximately 1/4 of the way down pretzel.

3) Decorate pretzel rods

Immediately sprinkle with sparkling sugar. Place pretzel rods on parchment paper-covered cookie sheet. Chill until firm, about 5 to 10 minutes.

4) Enjoy!

Your confection is ready to be served.
