Payment isn't taken until your order is picked up. If you see a charge on your payment card account prior to pickup, this is only an authorization hold to ensure the appropriate funds are available.
How will I know when my order is ready to be picked up?
You will receive a notification email letting you know it is ready. Orders are typically ready within two hours after they are placed online.
If you place an order after 6:00 p.m. (local time), it may not be ready until the following day. This time may also be subject to change during Halloween season.
What do I need to pick up my order and how will I be charged?
You will need:
Your pickup notification email (either printed or shown on mobile device)
A government-issued ID
Your payment will be authorized for the full amount at checkout, but the money will not be taken until you pick up your order in store. Some customers may have varying payment experiences based on store location. If this is the case, you will receive an email detailing further instructions.
You can pick up your order or assign an alternate person to pick it up for you. To add an alternate pickup person, enter the first and last name and email (optional) of the person who will be picking up the order in the Pick-Up In Store section during checkout.
Where do I pick up my order?
Please reference your pickup notification email for specific pickup location details. Items ordered online will be picked up at the designated Pickup Counter.
How long will my order be held at the store?
Your order will be held at the store for 7 calendar days from the time your order is ready for pickup. After 7 days, your order will be automatically cancelled.

What if I need to cancel my In-Store Pickup Order?
To cancel your order, please contact the store(s) where the order was made for pickup. Please have your store pickup order number when calling.
Why are some products not available for Party Pickup?
Due to seasonality and demand for certain products, guaranteeing in-store inventory is difficult. For those items, please visit your local Party City location to view inventory and purchase.
