Hanukkah Decorations & Party Supplies for Your Family Celebration
It's time for the big year-end holiday, the eight-day Festival of Lights commemorating the rededication of the Temple. It seems like only yesterday...
Eight days of festivities. Eight days of latke and mandelbrot, of evenings spent with family and friends, of endless dreidel games for the kids and the mind-numbing Dreidel Song... Can you possibly survive?
Yes, of course you can, and while we don't offer a Hanukkah survival kit (let us know if we should), we do offer kits for decorations, refreshment service, and table settings. Kits make the party planning a little easier on you, your time, and your budget.
We also provide most of the basics for a memorable Hanukkah party – food excluded – from centerpieces and room decorations and Judaica-themed tableware to dreidels, novelty headbands and hats, party favors, and gift wrap. Hey, it's all about the kids, right? Have fun!
Essential Hanukkah Party Supplies
Hanukkah tableware: Hanukkah is the least formal Jewish holiday, the holiday where it makes most sense to serve food on paper plates and drinks in paper cups. The whole point is to spend time with friends, family, and the kids, and not to waste time cleaning up after a fancy meal. But with Hanukkah-themed tableware, you can still present an attractive setting for the buffet. Within each tableware theme, plates, cups, napkins, serveware, and decorations all match perfectly.
Hanukkah decorations: Go small (Hanukkah decorations) or big (HANUKKAH DECORATIONS in all caps) with a collection of decor that will make you successful either way. Your table may need nothing more than a centerpiece and a few balloons. But for gala event, you can pull out all the stops with happy Hanukkah banners, ceiling decorations, table confetti, lights, and Hanukkah photo booth props.
Hanukkah decorating kits: Quick and easy is the key! Hanukkah decorating kits contain a set of matching decorations – say, a set of centerpieces along with table scatters. One kit may be enough for the table, but you can always add more kits to the display: a kit for hanging decorations, a kit for door and room decorations, and so on.
Menorahs & candles: Each day of Hanukkah is celebrated by lighting another candle of the menorah. You can do this manually with a traditional menorah and blue and white wax candles, or you can purchase an ultra-safe electric menorah which lets you illuminate cool LED bulbs in sequence. Party City carries both types, as well as working favor menorahs for children.
Hanukkah dreidels: We did say it's all about the kids. We'll say it again – without a stash dreidels and toys to entertain the tots, your Hanukkah party is a rudderless ship. Choose from an assortment of traditional plastic and wooden dreidels, plush and musical dreidels for toddlers, and novelty dreidels that duel to the finish. Stock up now while you can.
Hanukkah costume accessories: Oy vey! Menorah hats? Dreidel head boppers and sunglasses? Ugly Hanukkah sweaters? Explore the wackier side of Hanukkah in the 21st century.
Gelt & cookies: Gelt (gold) for the children is a longstanding tradition. Our much more affordable version of "gelt" is actually disc-shaped milk chocolate with a gold "coin" wrapper. Hand this out instead. They're kids – they'll never know the difference.
Hanukkah gift bags & wrap: Gift giving is central to the Hanukkah experience. Generic holiday wrapping paper simply won't do, especially when you have better options like Star of David gift wrap and happy Hanukkah gift bags.
