Bloody Good Candy Apples How To

Blood icing = terrifying candy apples!

Ingredients:

  • Apples, washed and dried
  • Black Candy Melts® Candy
  • Red Candy Melts® Candy
  • Red Sparkle Gel

Supplies:

  • 8 in. Lollipop Sticks
  • Microwave-safe bowls
  • Parchment Paper
  • Cookie Sheet
  • 12 in. Disposable Decorating Bags

1) Insert Stick

Insert lollipop stick in apple.

2) Decorate Blood

Melt black Candy Melts(R) candy in microwave-safe bowl according to package directions. Dip apple in melted black candy. Tap gently against side of container to smooth and remove excess candy. Place apple on parchment paper-covered cookie sheet. Chill until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes.

3) Decorate Blood

Melt red Candy Melts candy in disposable decorating bag according to package directions. Cut small point off of disposable decorating bag. Use melted red candy to pipe dripping blood effect. Chill until firm, about 3 to 5 minutes.

4) Add Sparkle Gel

Pipe Sparkle Gel over red candy for a terrifying effect!
