Video: 5 Pumpkin Painting Ideas

Have a fun night in this Halloween and paint some pumpkins. You can use real or fake pumpkins for these ideas and turn the kids loose with some paint and brushes. Our accessories make the decorating of the pumpkins easy and you will have a whole set of gorgeous pumpkins in no time at all.

Pumpkin & craft supplies

Supplies:

  • Unicorn Flower Headband
  • Glitter Uni-Mermaid Headband
  • Mini Purple Witch Hat
  • Black Mini Spiders, 50ct
  • Bat Cutouts, 30ct
  • Paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Round brushes
  • White Tulle Spool
  • Hot glue and glue gun
  • Raffia
  • Pumpkin Carving Knife
  • Pumpkins (real or fake) (you can try this gold glitter version, this orange and gold version, or these mini pumpkins)
  • Halloween Friends Pumpkin Plates (for paint)
Unicorn Pumpkin

1. Unicorn Pumpkin

1. Paint the entire pumpkin including the stem and allow to dry.

2. Come back and add cheeks with round brush and eyes with fine line brush.

3. Add the headband on top.

Spider Pumpkin

2. Spider Pumpkin

1. Paint pumpkins with a few coats of white paint and allow to dry.

2. Use hot glue to secure mini spiders all over the surface.

Witch Pumpkin

1. Cut off one side of foam pumpkin with a knife so it sits flat.

2. Use hot glue to secure raffia “hair” and a mini witch hat.

3. Use a round brush to add eyes and a fine line brush to add a mouth around the stem “nose”.

4. Allow paint to dry.

Mermaid Pumpkin

4. Mermaid Pumpkin

1. Paint waves onto the bottom of a gold glitter pumpkin. Allow paint to dry.

2. Put a mermaid headband on top and fill in gap with a few pieces of tulle and hot glue.

Bat Pumpkins

5. Bat Pumpkin

1. Paint small pumpkins with a few coats of gold paint and allow to dry completely.

2. Then hot glue on a small bat cutout to the front.
