Mickey Mouse Candy Apples How To

Take apple slices for a dip in colorful red candy!

Incorporate Mickey's famous polka dots into your theme party! Apples gain appeal with a dip in Red Candy Melts® candy, then add dots with white candy.

How-To

Ingredients:

  • Green apples, washed and dried completely
  • Lemon juice
  • Red Candy Melts® Candy (12 oz. makes 22 to 24 treats)
  • White Candy Melts Candy (2 oz. makes 22 to 24 treats)

Supplies:

  • Microwave-safe container
  • Knife
  • Waxed or parchment paper
  • Cookie sheet
  • 12 in. Disposable Decorating Bags
  • Food-safe scissors

1) Dip apples

Melt red Candy Melts candy in microwave-safe container according to package directions. Cut apples into wedges. Brush lightly with lemon juice to prevent browning. Let dry before dipping. Dip apple wedges halfway into melted red candy. Place on waxed paper-covered cookie sheet. Chill until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes.

2) Decorate dots

Melt white Candy Melts candy in disposable decorating bag according to package directions. Cut small point off of bag. Use melted white candy to pipe dots on red section of apple. Chill until firm, about 3 to 5 minutes.
