Are your friends and family die hard tailgaters? Do you love the pre-game festivities? Are you going to miss them with all the changes this year has brought? I have a great idea for you! How about a Stay Home Tailgate in a Bag? Yes, all the needed Tailgate supplies in a bag and dropped off on your doorstep? That is just what I did for our favorite Football friends! We cannot get together in person, but we can party at home while watching the game using online meetings to be “together apart”! How are you tailgating this year?

Tailgate Party Supplies

Party City has all the great tailgate necessities! I found the perfect paper goods and adorable cups, popcorn boxes and even cute gridiron ice cream containers. These came in party pack sizes, so I used cellophane bags and cute ribbon to make sure every Stay Home Tailgate in a Bag had enough supplies for each family. Here's what you'll need:

  • Football Frenzy Lunch Plates
  • Football Frenzy Dessert Plates
  • Football Frenzy Lunch Napkins
  • Football Field Plastic Cups
  • Football Field Treat Cups
  • Mini Black Foam Fingers
  • Medium CLEAR Plastic Treat Bags

Snack Packs

I also put together individual “snack packs” for each family member. You can find all kinds of party treats at Party City. I love the mini “Go Team” foam finger they were perfect to dress up the treat package.

DIY Treats

I wanted to include a delicious homemade treat in each Stay Home Tailgate in a Bag, but I also wanted to keep safety at the top of my list. Instead of making the treat and sending in the bag I put the ingredients together with the recipe for my friends to make on their own!!  You can find the Candy Melts at Party City in so many team colors!! I also found a sprinkle sample pack with that come in individual packages!

Touchdown Popcorn Recipe

This Touchdown Popcorn is so good honestly, I cannot stop eating it! The recipe is super easy to make! It does require some adult supervision if you’re making it with the kiddos but it’s easy!

  • 1 large bag Butter Microwave popcorn popped
  • Wilton Dark Green Candy Melts
  • Wilton Rainbow Jimmies Sprinkles Party Pack

1. Place popped popcorn in large bowl.

2. Melt candy melts in a microwave proof bowl until melted (melt in 30 second intervals stirring in between).

3. Carefully pour melted candy over popcorn and stir to coat popcorn. Spread on a baking sheet and sprinkle with sprinkles. Let candy harden and break into pieces!! Enjoy!!
