Friendly Bat Doughnut Pops How To

Sink your fangs into bat pops!

Your favorite trick-or-treaters will go batty over these eerie-n-cheery cake pops! They're super easy to make, using doughnut holes and Candy Melts® candy.

How-To

Ingredients:

  • Lavender Candy Melts® Candy (12 oz. makes 12 to 15 treats)
  • Doughnut holes
  • Black Candy Melts Candy (4 oz. makes 12 to 15 treats)
  • Candy Eyeballs
  • Jelly fruit slices

Supplies:

  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • 8 in. Lollipop Sticks
  • Craft foam block
  • 12 in. Disposable Decorating Bags
  • Food-safe scissors

1) Dip doughnut holes

Melt lavender Candy Melts candy in microwave-safe bowl according to package directions. Dip end of lollipop sticks into melted lavender candy, and insert into doughnut holes. Place in craft foam block. Chill until firm, about 3 to 5 minutes. Dip doughnut holes into melted lavender candy. Tap lightly to smooth and remove excess candy. Place in craft foam block. Chill until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer remaining melted lavender candy into a disposable decorating bag. Use scissors to cut tip off decorating bag when ready to decorate.

2) Make wings

Cut 1/4 in. off of fruit slices horizontally. Use melted lavender candy to attach to side of cake pops. Hold in place until set, and then place in craft foam block. Chill until firm, about 3 to 5 minutes.

3) Make bat facial features

Melt black Candy Melts candy in disposable decorating bag according to package directions. Use melted black candy to attach candy eyeballs and pipe smiles. Use reserved melted lavender candy to pipe ears.
