Day of the Dead Candy Skull Pretzel Pops How To

A salty-'n'-sweet Dia de los Muertos treat

Treat your boo crew to salty-sweet skull pretzel sticks! Dip pretzel sticks in Candy Melts® and bone sprinkles, then top them off with a grinning sugar skull. Offer up your sweets in a colorful container of Sixlets®. Check out the Deadly Dipped Pretzels How-To below.

Ingredients:

  • White Candy Melts® Candy
  • Black Candy Melts® Candy
  • Red Candy Melts® Candy
  • Orange Candy Melts® Candy
  • Blue Candy Melts® Candy
  • Yellow Candy Melts® Candy
  • Pretzel rods
  • Skulls Bones Sprinkles

Supplies:

  • 12 in. Disposable Decorating Bags
  • 3D Skull Candy Mold
  • Microwave-safe containers
  • Parchment Paper

1) Make Candy Skulls

Melt white Candy Melts candy in disposable decorating bag according to package directions. Cut small point off of bag. Use melted white candy to fill mold cavities. Chill until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes. Unmold.

2) Decorate Skull Features

Melt black Candy Melts candy in disposable decorating bag. Use melted black candy to decorate eyes and nose. Chill until firm, about 3 to 5 minutes.

3) Dip Pretzels

Melt red, orange, blue and yellow Candy Melts candy, separately, in microwave-safe containers. Dip pretzels in melted candy. Gently tap against edge of container to smooth and remove excess candy. Place pretzel on parchment-covered cookie pan.

4) Add Bones Sprinkles

Immediately sprinkle with bones sprinkles. Chill until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes.

5) Attach Candy Skulls

Use melted candy to attach skull to pretzel. Chill until firm, about 3 to 5 minutes.
