I recently purchased the Tin Man costume for Halloween. At $50 it's not expensive but it's not cheap either. I took the costume out and let it hang to remove the wrinkles. I should've tried it on then. When I did try it on Halloween night it was so tight in the crotch that I would've sang soprano and looked like a "wild and crazy guy" (with bulges in the wrong places like by my navel) all night long if I could've worn it. It is not made for anyone over 5' 8" probably shorter. It ruined my night and my girlfriend who dressed as Dorothy. $50 shot in the rear end. What a waste and no warning that this costume was height restricted. It will be the first and last time I shop for a costume on line from Party City

Did Not Receive Item Pictured On The Website

Comments about Adult Tin Man Costume - Wizard of Oz:

The Tin Man costume I received was not the same as the one pictured on the website. The costume I received had the heart and chain imprinted on the fabric and the pants had boot covers. The costume I received was a different version of the one pictured on the website. I tried to return the item but there were no longer any costumes in stock/available online.

Tin Man comes up short

Comments about Adult Tin Man Costume - Wizard of Oz:

I looked around online and in stores. This was, for me most well known/ reputable company. Paid for extra shipping to get here BEFORE halloween-got it just fine but did not try it on till the night before halloween and found the head piece/funnel was missing and the costume was too small. I would say 1 size (medium) fits a small guy. I am only 5'7" and this thing was too short for me in the torso area. It did not fit around my body and fit very uncomfortable in the crotch AND shoulder area. It was pulling my shoulders down AND my crotch up! The arm length was good-so was the leg length. I would say this one is misleading and made for a small person. The back is open from the top velcro pieces in the back of the neck to my lower back. If I end up wearing this tomorrow night then I will have to sew a few buttons onto it and make button holes on the other side up and down on the material on the back area or definitely wear a t-shirt under it... I am disappointed in this costume.

Too Small & Too Short

Comments about Adult Tin Man Costume - Wizard of Oz:

There was only one size to choose from, same for most costomes on-line and in-store. The size said it should fit up to jacket size 44, it barely fit a 4' 11" woman. This was to be part of a group outfit for a work event, our manager was to be the Tin Man; he is 6' but not a heavy man, very average size and he couldn't even pull it up past his knees because the openning wasn't wide enough. He had to go out, last minute, and rent an outfit that cost 4 times as much and we had to have one of part time people come in to wear the Tin Man out fit and she's tiny and it barely fit her! We were VERY disappointed in this costume and party city for only selling one size and not putting disclaimers about the size.

Comments about Adult Tin Man Costume - Wizard of Oz:

I'm a fit 5'9" and when I tried it on, well obscene would be the best word to describe it. I ended up not being able to wear it, due to comfort and decency laws. It's a one piece suit, and the shoulder to crotch length would be just waaaay too short for the vast majority of men. The rest of the costume, leg and arm length and circumference were loose, though. The head piece works well enough, keeping you from having to put makeup on the back of your neck, but I'd suggest also getting a large plastic funnel, painting it silver, and attaching that the head piece.

Too Small

Comments about Adult Tin Man Costume - Wizard of Oz:

It says it is an adult costume however three different adults, none of which were extra large or tall, tried it on and it wasn't tall enough and too tight. We were disappointed.

Comments about Adult Tin Man Costume - Wizard of Oz:

The costume was made of comfortable material. My only issue is that we bought an adult size, which was one size, and it did not fit my husband. My husband is of average built, not big at all, and the costume did not fit him. It was too small! We had to take it somewhere to have it fixed in a way to fit him.

Do not purchase this costume, it will only fit children. The sizes quoted are inaccurate and will not fit a grown person.
