Get inspired by this creative Angry Birds cake!
Whether you order a cake or feel inspired by our photos to make your own, serve up your dessert with
Angry Birds candles and tableware
to get the kids ready to take flight! Read on for tips on how to make this Angry Birds cake.
You'll need fondant sheets in white, black, brown, yellow, red and orange, and icing color in sky blue. (To get the custom light blue hue, roll white fondant into a ball and knead until soft. Use a toothpick to add dots of sky blue color, and knead into fondant. Repeat to get desired shade, then roll out into a sheet.) To decorate: Bake and cool your cake then smooth blue fondant over it and trim off excess. To create the clouds and Angry Bird shapes, hand-sketch or print out paper patterns, lay them on fondant and trace with an X-acto blade to cut out. Dab shapes with water and attach to cake. To make the slingshot, tint a ball of white fondant with brown icing color and shape into a slingshot form, then attach black fondant strips for the elastic bands. Pipe a green grass border with a decorating bag and top off the cake with Angry Birds candles. Bombs away!
