Halloween is a real hoot when you bring these easy treats to the party! Just give pretzel twists a dip in melted Candy Melts® candy, and then add fun features using Tootsie Roll® Midgees® candy, Starburst® Fruit Chews candy, Laffy Taffy® candy and Wilton Candy Eyeballs.

Friendly Candy Owl Pretzel Twists
Ingredients:
  • Light Cocoa Candy Melts® Candy (12 oz. makes 12 to 16 treats)
  • Pretzel twists
  • Black Candy Melts Candy (10 oz. makes 12 to 16 treats)
  • Tootsie Roll® Midgees® candy
  • Orange Starbrust® Fruit Chews candy
  • Banana Laffy Taffy® candy
  • Candy Eyeballs
Supplies:
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Fork
  • Waxed or parchment paper
  • Cookie sheet
  • 12 in. Disposable Decorating Bags
  • Food-safe scissors
Follow Instructions
Dip pretzels 1) Dip pretzels
Melt light cocoa Candy Melts candy in microwave-safe bowl, according to package directions. Use fork to dip pretzel in melted light cocoa candy. Tap gently to smooth and remove excess candy. Place on waxed paper-covered cookie sheet. Chill until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer remaining melted light cocoa candy into a disposable decorating bag. Use scissors to cut point off decorating bag when ready to decorate.
Fill in pretzel 2) Fill in pretzel
Melt black Candy Melts candy in disposable decorating bag according to package directions. Use melted black candy to fill in pretzel openings. Chill until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes. Reserve remaining black candy.
Make ears and nose 3) Make ears and nose
Cut Tootsie Roll Midgees in half. Use fingers to shape halves into triangle ears. Flatten orange Starburst candy and cut triangles for inside ears. Use reserved melted light cocoa candy to attach inside ears to ears, then ears to pretzels. Chill until firm, about 3 to 5 minutes.
Attach nose and eyes 4) Attach nose and eyes
Use reserved melted black candy to attach candy eyeballs and noses to pretzels. Chill until firm, about 3 to 5 minutes.
