  • Favorite crisped rice cereal treats recipe
  • White Ready-To-Use Decorator Icing
Supplies:
  • 9 in. Fondant Roller (pink and purple guide rings used)
  • Knife
  • 12-Pc. Cupcake Decorating Set (Tip #2A and decorating bags used)
  • Food-safe decorating brush
  • Waxed or parchment paper
  • Cookie sheet
  • Disney Mickey Mouse Cake Pan
  • Round and Open Star Tips Set (Tip #12 used)
  • Coupler Set
  • 9 in. Angled Spatula
  • Round and Star Decorating Tips Set (Tip #3 used)
Follow Instructions
1) Make bow 1 day in advance
Tint 6 oz. white fondant with rose icing color. Use fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out rose fondant 1/8 in. thick. Using a knife, freehand-cut Minnie's bow out of the rose-tinted fondant. Let set on cornstarch-dusted surface. For polka dots on bow, use fondant roller with pink guide rings to roll out 1 oz. white fondant 1/16 in. thick. Use wide end of tip #2A to cut 8 to 10 circles. Use damp brush to attach circles to bow. Let set overnight.
2) Make cereal treats
Prepare crisped rice cereal treats mixture following recipe directions. Press into pan. Unmold from pan and place on a waxed paper-covered cookie sheet.
3) Decorate Minnie
Tint portions of decorator icing black and peach. Reserve some white. Use spatula and white icing to ice background area between ears smooth.Use tip #12, a cut disposable decorating bag with coupler, and black icing to outline and fill in ears and nose. Use spatula to smooth. Let icing crust slightly. Transfer Minnie to serving plate.Use tip #3, a cut disposable decorating bag and white icing to outline and fill in whites of eyes. Pat smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch. Use tip #3, cut disposable decorating bag with coupler, and black icing to outline and fill in pupils and mouth and pipe eyelashes. Pat smooth. Use tip #3, a cut disposable decorating bag and peach icing to outline and fill in tongue. Pat smooth. Use white icing to pipe dot highlights on pupils and nose.
4) Assemble bow
Use brush and piping gel to attach top sections to base section of bow. Roll a log of rose fondant 2 in. long x 1/2 in. wide; flatten to 3/4 in. wide.
