FAQs

Why is Party Pick Up or Inventory Visibility not available in certain stores?

To ensure our valued Party City customers receive the best buy on-line pick-up in store experience, we are rolling this functionality out in phases.
Until your local store has this feature, please visit your local Party City location to view inventory and purchase.

Why are some products not available for Party Pick Up?

Due to seasonality and demand for certain products, guaranteeing in store inventory is difficult. For those items, please visit your local Party City location to view inventory and purchase.

How will I know when my order is ready to be picked up?

You will receive a notification email letting you know it is ready. Orders are typically ready within 2 hours after they are placed online.

If you place an order after 6:00 p.m. (local time), it may not be ready until the following day. This time may also be subject to change
during Halloween season.

Who can pick up my order?

You can pick up your order or assign an alternate person to pick up the order. To add an alternate pickup person, enter the first and last name and email address (optional) of the person who will be picking up the order to the Pick Up In Store section during checkout.

What do I need to pick up my order and how will I be charged?

You will need:

  • Your pickup notification email(either printed or shown on mobile device)
  • A government-issued ID
  • Your method of payment*

Payment isn't taken until your order is picked up. If you see a charge on your Credit Card or PayPal account prior to pick up, this is only an authorization hold to ensure the funds are available.

Where do I pick up my order?

Please reference your pickup notification email for specific pickup location details. Items ordered online will be picked up at the
designated Pick Up Counter.

How long will my order be held at the store?

Your order will be held at the store for 7 calendar days from the time your order is ready for pickup. After 7 days, your order will be automatically cancelled.

Between October 6 – October 31, 2017 costumes will only be held for 24 hours from the time your order is ready for pickup. After 24 hours, the costume will be removed from your pickup order. You will still be able to pick up the rest of your order within 7 calendar days.

What if I need to cancel my In-Store Pickup Order?

To cancel your order, please contact the store(s) where the order was made for pick-up, directly. Please have your store pickup
order number when calling.
